Tour Option #1
Classic Chengdu City Food Tour (Public Group Tour)
In this 3-hour walking tour of one of Chengdu’s oldest neighborhoods, you will get to learn all about the diverse tastes of Sichuan cuisine! The tour can either start at 10:30 in the morning for a lunch tour or starts at 16:00 in the afternoon and run through until dinner. We will sample a series of different snacks, street and regional foods, taste local spirits, explore an outdoor wet market, learn about flavors and their sources before indulging yourself in the bustling, spicy atmosphere of a classic family style restaurant.

Old Chengdu Evening Snack Tour (Public Group Tour)
Join the Old Chengdu Evening Snack Tour in a popular district packed with great eats and plenty of evening buzz. It’s a great place to explore the authenticity and the changes of the city. Tours will start at 6:30pm and last around 2 hours until 8:30pm. We will sample a series of different snacks, street and regional foods, including various kinds of noodles and Sichuan special dumplings, try a typical childhood staple as dessert and end with a hidden gem sit-down meal in the old neighborhood.

City of Leisure – Forging Countryside Tour
The countryside tour runs from 9:30am to 5pm and includes both breakfast and lunch. We’ll head out on a 1.5-hour drive to a mountain village just outside Chengdu. The morning kicks off with a local noodle specialty, a perfect introduction to the wide variety of regional noodles rooted in history and tradition. Then it’s off to a farmer’s home, where you’ll forage for wild bamboo shoots and seasonal vegetables. A rustic farm-to-table lunch follows, using the fresh ingredients you’ve gathered, cooked in true countryside style. The afternoon is for sipping local tea, relaxing, or even trying your hand at China’s national game, majiang, before returning to the city. Your day will follow the local tradition of escaping to the countryside to enjoy fresh air, authentic food, and simple fun away from the city.
